2021 SEASON REVIEW After the end of the 2020 season was curtailed early, it was hoped that 2021 could start on time and a full season of racing would take place. Sadly, a handful of early-season meetings were lost and the racing would eventually begin behind closed doors in April. Standlake’s Easter bank holiday Monday meeting kicked off the season and with it a huge turnout of 31 cars, which is even more impressive when you consider that this was a restricted entry! Newcomers 210 Patrick Somerton and 714 Louis Rayner were joined by a handful of Grimley visitors and in a 2/3rds format. The returning 420 Ade Baker took victory in heat 1, 155 Carl Lewis won a lively 2 nd heat before 509 Jordan Butcher took his first Standlake win in heat 3. The final was red flagged 2 laps early with 299 Will Jackson taking the win ahead of 109 Stuart Biddle and 563 Keith Walding.
